We tailor our courses to suit the students’ needs, to assist them in creating
their own work, and help them produce high-quality films.
Feature Film Programs are for graduates of KAFA’s Regular Program or those who have an experience of directing short films. Like Regular Program, there are no restrictions on applicants’ educational background, age, and nationality. The curriculum aims to cultivate directors who will be able to perform a key role in the film industry.
(Began in 2006, Feature Film Program is an advanced education program that aims to make feature-length films. Graduates of KAFA’s Regular Program get the opportunity to apply to this program, however, ordinary filmmakers who do not have experience of making feature-length films are also able to apply to the program.
The program consists of two courses: live-action films, and animation films. The goal of this program is to contribute to the development of Korean film industry by enhancing young filmmakers’ practical techniques, and producing unique, high-quality feature-length films.)
KAFA's Feature Film Programs deliver an unprecedented degree of production support, not only ensuring that films are completed, but also providing professional guidance throughout the process from planning to filming, post-production, and the release. During the intensive production process, students are required to develop their creative skills and work consistently towards achieving goals, ensuring that they emerge at the end of the program as better creators.
Projects produced by students while taking this program in the past include <Bleak Night>(2010), <INGtoogi: The Battle of Internet Trolls> (2013), <Socialphobia> (2014), <Alice in Earnestland> (2014), <After My Death> (2017), <Our Body> (2018), <Baseball Girl> (2019), <Aloners>(2020), <The Apartment with Two Women>(2021) and <Greenhouse>(2022). These films represent the addition of a host of new sensibilities and perspectives to the industry, with graduates of this program continuing to draw the attention of the broader industry.
